While sharing a video on Instagram recently, Sanjay had said that at the time when Joe Root is making new records in Test cricket, Virat Kohli’s departure from Test cricket is saddening. He said that Root, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith are strengthening their Test career.
He had said that Kohli’s performance in Tests was poor for the last several years. He said, “Kohli did not try to improve his technical and mental shortcomings.” According to him, if Kohli wanted, he could have worked on these shortcomings and could have even sat out of the team for some time. The former cricketer said that he was more disappointed by the fact that Virat decided to leave Test cricket and continue playing in ODIs.
