India’s domestic ODI tournament i.e. Vijay Hazare Trophy is now in its final stages. This time many superstar players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma played in this domestic tournament. However, in the tournament, Virat’s team Delhi and Rohit’s team Mumbai could not make it to the semi-finals. Punjab, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Karnataka have qualified for the semi-finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite 2025-26.
The semi-final matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite 2025-26 will be played on 15 and 16 January. Vidarbha will face Karnataka in Semi-Final-1 on January 15. This match is to be played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-1. After this, Semi-Final-2 will be played on 16 January. Punjab will face Saurashtra at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-2.
Punjab Madhya Pradesh Entered the semi-finals by defeating
In the Quarter Final-3 played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-1 on Tuesday, Punjab registered a spectacular victory against Madhya Pradesh by 183 runs. After losing the toss and opting to bat, Punjab team scored 345 runs after losing 6 wickets in the stipulated overs. The opening pair gave a great start to this team. Harnoor Singh made a partnership of 116 runs with Prabhsimran Singh in 21.2 overs. Harnoor was out after scoring 51 runs in 71 balls with 8 boundaries, after which Prabhsimran Singh added 39 runs for the second wicket with Anmolpreet Singh. Anmolpreet was out after scoring 70 runs in 62 balls with 2 sixes and 8 fours, while Prabhsimran Singh contributed 88 runs to the team’s account. Apart from these, Nehal Vadhera scored 56 runs, while Ramandeep Singh played an unbeaten inning of 24 runs. Naman Dhir contributed 23 runs to the team’s account. From the opposition camp, Tripuresh Singh and Venkatesh Iyer took 2 wickets each. In response, Madhya Pradesh team was reduced to just 162 runs in 31.2 overs. Vidarbha defeated Delhi and made it to the semi-finals
Vidarbha won against Delhi by 76 runs in the Quarter Final-4 played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-2. Vidarbha scored 300 runs losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. For this team, Yash Rathore played an inning of 86 runs in 73 balls, while Dhruv Shorey contributed 49 runs to the team’s account. Atharva Tayde scored 62 runs with 8 fours. In response, Delhi was reduced to just 224 runs in 45.1 overs. Anuj Rawat scored the highest score of 66 runs for Delhi, while Vaibhav Kandpal and Priyansh Arya contributed 28-28 runs to the team’s account, but could not lead to victory.
