Virendra Sachdeva News: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has launched a scathing attack on Arvind Kejriwal over his claims of simplicity. Sachdeva claimed at a press conference on Friday (April 5) that according to information received from RTI, on the maintenance of Kejriwal’s old government bungalow (6 Flag Staff Road), 29 crore 56 lakh 35 thousand 74 was spent between 2015 and 2022 in 8 years. He raised the question whether it is proof of royal lifestyle or the game of corruption?
3.69 crores every year
Virendra Sachdeva said that RTI’s reply has revealed that on an average of 3 crore 69 lakh 54 thousand 384 rupees on average every year on general breakdown, sewer, electricity and carpentry work on Kejriwal’s bungalow from 31 March 2015 to 27 December 2022. He taunted and said, “In Delhi where a brilliant bungalow of 250-300 yards is formed in Delhi, the annual maintenance expenses of a government bungalow are shocking to be 3.69 crores.
Now this disclosure after the Sheeshmahal
The Delhi BJP president said that the five -star life of Kejriwal, who pretended to simplicity, was exposed to the first 52 crore ‘Sheesmahal’ and now this new evidence exposes his corruption. Sachdeva said that this information was received from RTI filed by a Maharashtra citizen, which was answered by the Kejriwal government on 29 December 2023. This answer was sent by the applicant to the BJP, which was presented to the media today.
‘What was the need of 31 lakhs every month?’
Sachdeva questioned Kejriwal, “The people of Delhi want to know what was such a lack in your bungalow that it used to spend about 31 lakh rupees every month on its maintenance? You are empty nowadays, even away from media, then come forward and answer.” He alleged that such a huge expenditure either reflects Kejriwal’s royal lifestyle or corruption in government work.

This press conference held in New Delhi was conducted by media chief Pravin Shankar Kapoor. BJP spokesperson Dr. Anil Gupta and Shubhendu Shekhar Awasthi were also present in it. Sachdeva said that in Delhi, perhaps the houses or multiplexes of big industrialists do not cost as much maintenance as it was at Kejriwal’s bungalow.
Attack on Kejriwal intensified
The BJP made this revelation a part of the major attack against Kejriwal and said that the real face of the Chief Minister who claimed to run the government with simplicity is now in front of the public. Sachdeva demanded that Kejriwal should immediately clarify the matter and tell the public why the maintenance of his bungalow was so expensive.
