Indian passengers stranded in turkey: More than 250 passengers aboard in the London-Mumbai Virgin Atlantic flight are facing trouble. Most of these are Indians. They have been stranded at Diyarbakir Airport of Turki for more than 40 hours. On the case, a spokesman for the airline has said that on April 2, the VS358 flight from London to Mumbai was landed at Diyarbakir Airport due to medical emergency. However, after landing, the aircraft has a technical problem and is being investigated. A spokesman for the Virgin Atlantic said, the safety of our customers and crew is our top priority. We apologize for inconvenience. After receiving the approval, we will leave for Mumbai from Diyarbakir Airport at 12:00 local time on Friday, April 4.

The airline said, “If there is no approval, we are working on a plan to take our customers to Mumbai by alternative aircraft at another airport tomorrow. Virgin Atlantic said,” Meanwhile, passengers are being given the facility to stay and drink in the hotel overnight in Turki. We are making every effort to fix the problem. As soon as we will get new updates available, we will inform all the customers. ”

Family members posted pictures on social media
The trapped passengers and their family members have exposed their problems on social media. Many people complained that there is the same toilet for more than 250 passengers waiting at the airport. A passenger told the news agency PTI that the passengers were not given blankets to avoid the cold.

Indian Embassy and Airline’s response
The Indian Embassy in Turki has contacted the airline, Diyarbakir Airport Director and Turkias Ministry of External Affairs, playing an active role. On the matter, the deity issued a statement saying that proper care of the passengers is being taken. We are working with officials to solve this issue and arrange for alternative flight for Mumbai.
