Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea, facing a huge financial crisis, has requested the government for help. This company has a major problem at this time of AGR and outstanding spectrum payment.
Telecom Secretary Neeraj Mittal has written a letter from Vodafone Idea on March 11, demanding to convert a large part of his dues into equity. According to the report of NDTP Profit, if this proposal of the telecom company is considered by the government, then the government’s stake in it will be 49 per cent, then currently it is 22.6 per cent.
Actually, Vodafone Idea has demanded relief from the government as AGR of Rs 36 thousand 950 crore and spectrum dues, out of which 13 thousand 89 crore rupees have to be given to the company in the next few weeks, but the company does not have money for it. This is the reason why 2021 telecom is helping as a package from the Telecom Service Provider.
