Farmers are currently waiting for the next installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. For those farmers who get Rs 2000 in their account every four months, this amount is no less than a support. Small and big expenses of fertilizer, seeds, medicine, irrigation and farming are covered with this money.

Now the most important question is when will the 22nd installment come. No official date has been announced yet by the government, but looking at the pattern of previous years, it is expected that this installment may be released around February 2026. Usually the installment comes every four months, in such a situation the money can reach the accounts of the farmers between the end of January or between February and March.

Why increased concern this time?

This time some new rules have been added to the PM Kisan Yojana, due to which the concern of the farmers has increased. The government has made it clear that now merely getting e-KYC done is not enough. Along with this, Farmer ID i.e. Farmer Identity Card has also been made mandatory. Those farmers who do not have this unique ID, their next installment may be withheld.

Why did Farmer ID become necessary?

The government says that through Farmer ID it will be decided that the benefits of the scheme reach the right farmer. This will prevent problems like fake names, wrong registration and double entry. In Farmer ID, the farmer’s land, farming and important information remain digitally linked. Those farmers who have not yet made Farmer ID, they should complete this work as soon as possible, otherwise the 22nd installment may get stuck.

Money can be stopped even if there is no e-KYC

e-KYC is already mandatory in PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers who have not yet done e-KYC will also not get the next installment. Many farmers are still postponing this process even though it is very easy. e-KYC can be done through mobile or nearest service center.

Due to these mistakes also the installment gets stuck

Many times the installment does not stop just because of e-KYC or Farmer ID. Difference between Aadhaar and bank account information, closure of bank account, change in IFSC code or non-updation of bank KYC also become major reasons. Apart from this, even if there is a discrepancy in the land records, the system shows the farmer ineligible.

Which farmers will not get the 22nd installment money?

Farmers who have not done e-KYC, whose bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, whose land has not been verified, who have more land than the prescribed limit or who take a monthly pension of more than Rs 10,000, will not get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana.

How to check your name in the list?

If farmers want to know whether their name is in the beneficiary list or not, then they can visit pmkisan.gov.in website and see the information by selecting state, district, block and village in the beneficiary list. If the name is in the list, then there is every possibility of getting the installment.

Overall, the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana is very important for the farmers. Completing the work related to e-KYC and Farmer ID in time will not only remove the worry, but will also help you get the help of Rs 2000 on time.
