On Wednesday (April 2, 2025) on Waqf Amendment Bill 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally JDU and TDP gave a strong speech in support of the bill. Both parties believe that the Waqf Property should be amended in the welfare of Muslim women, youth and lower sections. JDU MP and Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh attacked the opposition fiercely in his speech on the Waqf Bill and said that why Pasmanda Muslims and the lower class are not talking.
Lalan Singh said that efforts are being made to create such an atmosphere from the beginning of the discussion, like this bill is anti -Muslim. It is not anti -Muslim from anywhere. He said that Waqf is not a religious institution, it is a trust, which was made to work in favor of Muslims. He told the opposition why you are cursing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. Do not see if you do not like Modi ji’s face. Look at their work. The sin you committed in 2013, they have worked to finish it and bring transparency. Lalan Singh said that today two types of people in the country are against the Waqf Amendment Bill. One who uses religious matters for his vote and the other is those who occupied Waqf. They are protesting after seeing the occupation going from their clutches.
Lalan Singh said not tampering with Waqf’s working
Lalan Singh said, ‘The bill has no right to tamper in Waqf’s working, but we have brought amendment in the bill to monitor the Waqf’s income for Muslims, to keep an eye on it. What is the problem with you? Why are they protesting? Because you will climb at the eye and your gang will not work. There will be work in the rights of Muslims, better management, misuse of money will be stopped and the mechanism of monitoring its work is being developed only. There is no basis for your opposition from this.
Lalan Singh, referring to Pasmanda Muslims, said that there is something for Pasmanda in Waqf, how much a large population is his. The leaders of the Congress party are shouting all over the country and say why they are against the Pasmanda community. If they are being given their right, then why do you have problems?
Pasmanda, Muslim women and lower classes also right, JDU spoken in the House
Lalan Singh said that through the Waqf Amendment Bill, Pasmanda Muslims, Muslims of the lower classes and Muslims who are also the lowest class Muslims, will get the rights, then the opposition is making a screaming, making a chant. He said that the Congress party talks a lot about women empowerment, so if women are being associated with Waqf, then why are you suffering. Women also have the right to empower, that work is going to do the work.
Waqf property should be used in the welfare of women and youth, bid TDP
Chandrababu Naude’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Krishna Prasad Teenanti also supported the Waqf Amendment Bill. He said that Waqf property should be put in the welfare of every section of the Muslim community, especially in the welfare of youth and women. He said that help is needed to carry forward every section of the Muslim community of the country. They have to face economic and social troubles. He said that Waqf has assets worth Rs 1.2 lakh crore and 36.18 lakh acres of land, which can help in the social and economic changes of the Muslim community.
TDP MP Teenanti supports Waqf Amendment Bill
Krishna Prasad Teenanti said that these properties of Waqf were used less for the welfare of Muslims due to misminent and many malicious intentions. His party believes that they should be used for the welfare of Muslims and women. It should improve. He said that this bill is important for Muslim women, youth and lower classes and it is expected that the suggestions before giving flexibility to the states will be considered while making the rules of the Act. Teenanti said- We support the Waqf Amendment Bill.
Krishna Prasad Teenanti said that TDP was the first party, which demanded the formation of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). He said that more than 97 lakh communication was done. Revised Bill came up with 14 amendments. Our party gave three suggestions and all three were considered. These suggestions ensure protecting the interests of Muslims.
