The tussle continues at the box office between ‘War 2’ and ‘Coolie’. Both films released on August 14 have become a week on screen. While Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ had already become part of the 200 crore club, now ‘War 2’ is also close to crossing this figure. Now with a week’s collection, ‘War 2’ has defeated Akshay Kumar’s hit film. At the same time, ‘Coolie’ has broken the record of ‘fighter’.
‘War 2’ took an opening of Rs 52 crore at the Indian box office. On the second day, the film managed to collect 57.85 crores, 33.25 crores on the third day and 32.65 crores on the fourth day. On the fifth day, the collection of ‘War 2’ was 8.75 crore and 9 crores on the sixth day.
‘War 2’ broke the record of ‘Suryavanshi’
- According to Caiknilk, ‘War 2’ has earned Rs 3.91 crore on the seventh day (till 9 pm).
- The total collection of Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR film has now become Rs 197.41 crore.
- With a week’s earnings, ‘War 2’ has defeated the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s hit film ‘Suryavanshi’.
- ‘Suryavanshi’ collected a total of Rs 195.55 crore at the box office.
How much did ‘Coolie’ earn in a week?
‘Kuli’ is beating ‘War 2’ at the box office from day one. On the first day, Rajinikanth’s film earned 65 crores. The film’s collection was 54.75 crores on the second day and 39.5 crores on the third day. ‘Coolie’ did a turnover of 35.25 crores on the fourth day, 12 crores on the fifth day and 9.5 crores on the sixth day. Now the initial figures of the seventh day of the film have also come out.
- Rajinikanth starrer film ‘Coolie’ has earned Rs 4.24 crore so far on the seventh day.
- The total collection of seven days of the film at the domestic box office has now increased to Rs 220.24 crore.
- With this, ‘Coolie’ has defeated Hrithik Roshan’s hit film ‘Fighter’.
- The film ‘Fighter’ released last year did a total business of Rs 212.79 crore in India.
