Major information has come out from the police on whether Samajwadi Party MP Mohibullah Nadvi was present or not during the violence that took place during the removal of encroachment by Delhi Municipal Corporation near Turkman Gate, Faiz-e-Ilahi Mosque in Delhi.
Joint CP (Central Range), Madhur Verma said that initial investigation revealed that he was present there, but had left by the time the demolition started. It is being verified. If something comes to light, action will be taken.

Apart from this, Verma said that Delhi Police has registered a case under sections 121, 123, 221 of BNS, section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and section 191 (rioting) in connection with the stone pelting incident that took place at Turkman Gate last night. Five people have been arrested from the spot.
Collecting more evidence with the help of videography- Verma
The police officer said that the special staff inspector is investigating the case. More evidence is being collected with the help of body-borne cameras worn by Delhi Police personnel and videography of the spot. Further investigation will be done on the same basis.
He also said, ‘Some videos have come on social media and our team has also seen some videos in which attempts are being made to instigate the goons. They (those who posted the video) will be called and interrogated as part of the investigation. If anyone’s role is proved in any conspiracy, action will be taken against them.
