Former Chennai Super Kings spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has revealed on his YouTube channel that he had asked Washington Sundar about the alleged deal between Gujarat Titans and Chennai. Ashwin claimed that Sundar said that this was a new thing for him. Ashwin told that Sundar said that he enjoyed his tenure at Gujarat Titans. During this period, he improved both his batting and bowling.

Ashwin said, “I had asked him about these speculations. He said, ‘Yes, Anna, I saw what he (K Vignesh) had said. I even thought of calling him.’ I asked him what happened? He said that he has not received any information. He included me in Gujarat Titans last year, I could not play all the matches. But I enjoyed playing for the GT team, during which I also improved my game. I got ample opportunity to work on my batting and bowling. “Practice was good and I enjoyed it a lot.”
According to Tamil news website Samayam, Gujarat Titans have agreed to give Washington Sundar to CSK through a trade deal for Rs 3.2 crore before IPL 2026. It was at this price that Gujarat had bought him for the last edition. The report claims that the main reason for this trade deal is Gujarat not being able to use the all-rounder effectively. It has also been said in the report that CSK has not put any conditions in this trade deal.
