Harshit Rana broke the back of South Africa’s top order in the first ODI, he took 2 big wickets in the form of Ryan Rickelton and Quinton de Kock in his first and second overs of the match. He bowled Rickelton (0) on the very first ball of the over, after which he got De Kock caught out by the wicket keeper on a brilliant ball. But he was seen most angry after the wicket of Dewald Brevis.

Why did Harshit Rana get angry at Brevis?
Dewald Brevis played a quick inning of 37 runs in 28 balls in Ranchi, in which he hit 3 sixes and 2 fours. Brevis also tried to hit a big shot on the fourth ball of the 22nd over bowled by Harshit Rana, but he was caught out by Rituraj Gaikwad on the boundary. After which Harshit got angry. In Harshit’s previous over, Brevis had hit a ‘no look’ six, perhaps Harshit’s anger might have increased then. However, it is difficult to say whether Brewis also said something after hitting the six, due to which Harshit got angry.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Team India scored 349 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Virat Kohli scored 135 runs in 120 balls, in which he hit 7 sixes and 11 fours.
Rohit Sharma played a historic inning of 57 runs, in this innings he hit 3 sixes. He made a world record of Shahid Afridi in his name, now Rohit has become the batsman to hit the most number of sixes (352) in One Day International. Captain KL Rahul (60) also scored a half-century in Ranchi.
