A horrifying video of the tragic accident that took place on Saturday night (6-7 December 2025) in Arpora village of North Goa is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The fire that broke out inside the nightclub engulfed the entire building within a few minutes. At least 25 employees died in this incident. It is seen in the video how the fire spread rapidly and the entire club was filled with smoke and flames. The sound of sirens can be heard from a distance.
On the matter, Goa DGP Alok Kumar said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the fire broke out due to the explosion of a gas cylinder. He told that the incident happened at 12:04 pm. Police, fire brigade and ambulance immediately reached the spot. The fire has been brought under control and 23 bodies have been recovered. Detailed investigation of the incident is ongoing.

Agency ANI has released another video in which burnt parts of the nightclub building are visible after the fire is extinguished. The windows, doors and interior of the building have completely turned into black ash. The name of the club is said to be Birch by Romeo Lane, which is considered to be a very popular party spot.

CM Pramod Sawant reached the spot
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reached the spot late in the night and took stock of the situation. He told the media – This is a very sad incident for a tourist state like Goa. Preliminary investigation has found that safety standards were not followed in the club. “Strict action will be taken against those who indulge in such negligence.” He said that there will be a detailed investigation into the accident and the actual cause of the fire will be found out. Local officials say that no tourist died in this accident, most of the deceased were club employees who were working inside.
