Today was a very special day for the intermediate students of West Bengal. West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the result of class 12th (HS) third semester on 31 October 2025. This year the hard work of the students paid off and the success rate has increased to 93.72% compared to last year. Last year this figure was 90.79%. The result was announced in the press conference of the council, after which from 2 pm students can check their result on result.wb.gov.in using their roll number and login details.
The third semester examination of class 12th conducted by WBCHSE was held between 8th September to 22nd September 2025. 6,60,260 students had registered for this examination, out of which 6,45,832 students appeared in the examination. The Council has also announced the dates for the next phase i.e. Semester 4 examination 2026. This examination will be conducted from 12 to 27 February 2026.
Know the passing criteria
Along with the result, the council has also clarified that to pass, students will have to obtain at least 30% marks in each subject i.e. 30 marks out of 100. Information like name of students, roll number, subject wise marks, grade, overall percentage and qualifying status is given in the result.
Special instructions for schools
WBCHSE has instructed all schools to download the Statement of Marks and Synopsis of Marks through their login portal. Students will be able to get their original mark sheets and certificates from the school.

How to see result
- To check the results, candidates first go to the official website result.wb.gov.in.
- After this click on the link “West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination Results 2026”.
- Then candidates enter their roll number and login details.
- After this, candidates fill the given captcha code and click on submit.
- Then the result will appear on your screen.
- After this, save its printout for future reference.
