All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi, while addressing a gathering in Hyderabad on Thursday (August 14, 2025), recalled the contribution of Deccan freedom fighters in India’s freedom struggle.
In his speech, Owaisi referred to veterans like Maulvi Alauddin, Taare Baz Kha, Saratib, Abid Hasan Safarrani, who not only took part in the freedom struggle, but also sacrificed his life and tolerated the torture of black water. He insisted, ‘A conspiracy is being hatched to snatch our citizenship from us and we are being called the child of Babur and others. While we are not children of Babur or anyone else, we are children of freedom fighters.
Deccan freedom fighters sacrificed
Owaisi strongly opposed the two-nation theory and said that the Muslims settled in India are here on their own free will, not under any pressure. He regretted that today the services of these freedom fighters have been forgotten. He also said that Mujahideen of Deccan tirelessly struggled for the independence of the country and his sacrifices are recorded in the pages of history.
Owaisi has appealed to the society that the contribution of these heroes should be remembered and unity and brotherhood should be promoted in the country. He said, ‘Our country is a symbol of unity in diversity and we have to maintain it.’

Thousands of people attended this meeting, who supported Owaisi’s views. His speech tried to re -highlight the contribution of Muslims in the freedom struggle and called upon the countrymen to be aware of history.
