Amidst the war between Iran and Israel, senior Congress leader and former Deputy CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot has reacted. He has raised questions regarding the timing of PM Modi’s visit to Israel. Also accused of compromising with India’s foreign policy. He said that foreign policy is made keeping in mind the interest of the country, it is not a means of building personal image.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot said, “I think the timing of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel was not right. The speech he gave casts doubt on India’s impartiality. We have always supported the two-nation principle and this time we are compromising our foreign policy to some extent.

Foreign policy has become individual based – Sachin Pilot

He further said, “Foreign policy is made keeping in mind the interests of the nation, it is not a medium to create personal image. Unfortunately, the foreign policy made in the last 11 years has become personality based. If foreign policy is made based on personal relationships, it will harm the interests of the country.

India’s interest is above any party or leader – Sachin Pilot

Sachin Pilot also said, “We have always said that India’s interest comes first.” India’s interest is above any party or leader, the government will have to take care of it. The government has many times compromised with India’s foreign policy to build its image and to improve personal relations, I strongly oppose this.

Israeli attack on many Iranian targets

Let us tell you that Israel and America have jointly attacked many targets of Iran. According to reports, several missiles hit University Street and other places in Jomhouri district of the Iranian capital Tehran. Plumes of smoke were seen rising from areas near Pasteur Street in central Tehran. There are many government buildings here. The attacks came amid rising tensions over a possible nuclear deal between the US and Iran, raising the possibility of a large-scale military conflict in the Middle East.
