An election public meeting of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was organized on Monday (January 12) at the ground located on Vadjai Road in Dhule city of Maharashtra. AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi addressed this public meeting and targeted BJP fiercely.
Akbaruddin Owaisi said that our Constitution is the power that makes even a poor citizen equal to Ambani and Adani. Vote is not just a slip, but a guarantee of your respect, your rights and the prosperity of your settlements. He stressed that India is not anyone’s property. This country belongs to the Muslims here as much as it belongs to others.
‘We are not tenants of this country, we are owners’
Taking aim at BJP, Akbaruddin Owaisi said that we always talk about love, but we have received hatred but we have brought the message of love. Our love should not be considered weakness. He further said that we will decide when to fight and with whom. The biggest battle in a democracy is to make our people win in the elections. After this he said that we are not tenants but owners of this country.
Targeted at Ajit Pawar
Commenting on the current politics of Maharashtra, he took on Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He said that BJP, which talks about neither eating nor giving food, is today sharing power with leaders accused of corruption. On the issue of electoral bonds, he attacked BJP and termed it as a big loot in the name of election donations.
Appeal to Muslims to unite
Owaisi made an emotional appeal and said that hatred should not be answered with hatred, but with love and solidarity. He said, ‘Muslims need consciousness along with enthusiasm. If we do not get organized, future generations will never forgive us. He made it clear that he has come not only to win the elections but also to win the hearts of the people and raise the voice of rights.
At the end of the speech, while referring to the festival of Makar Sankranti and the party’s election symbol ‘Kite’, he said that it is the glory of Allah that even the opponents have our symbol in their hands. He appealed to the people of Dhule to spare only 15 minutes on the 15th voting day and vote on the ‘Kite’ symbol to give a historic victory to the Majlis.
