India on Sunday (December 14, 2025) strongly rejected the allegations made by the interim government of Bangladesh. India clarified that New Delhi has always supported free, fair and inclusive elections in its neighboring country. Furthermore, India has never allowed its soil to be used for any activity against the interests of the citizens of Bangladesh.
Actually, India has given this reaction after the Ministry of External Affairs of the government led by Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh summoned Indian High Commissioner Prannoy Sharma. Dhaka expressed concern over India allowing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is living as a refugee, to make inflammatory statements instigating leaders and activists to engage in terrorist activities in Bangladesh. India has completely rejected this allegation made by Bangladesh.
India responded to Bangladesh’s allegations
In response to a statement issued by the interim government of Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs of India also issued a statement. The Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘India vehemently rejects all the allegations made against it and India has never allowed its soil to be used for any activity against the interests of the citizens of Bangladesh.’
Regarding the general elections to be held in Bangladesh MEA what did he say,
India’s Foreign Ministry has also given a statement regarding the general elections to be held in Bangladesh. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, ‘India has consistently reiterated its support for the conduct of free, fair, inclusive and confident general elections in Bangladesh in a peaceful environment and New Delhi’s position on this matter remains completely firm and unchanged.’
