‘We have full confidence in India’s security’, Israel said after postponement of Netanyahu’s visit

After the postponement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to India, all kinds of speculations were being made. Some reports claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed his proposed visit to India due to security reasons. Israel has completely rejected all these claims on Tuesday (November 25, 2025).

Prime Minister Netanyahu himself has said that he has full confidence in India’s security arrangements and both sides are coordinating on the new dates of the visit. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has also made a post regarding this on the social media platform X. In the post, he said, ‘Israel’s relationship with India and the relationship between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are very strong.’

The post said, ‘Prime Minister Netanyahu has full confidence in India’s security under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the team is already coordinating on the new visit date.’ A section of Israeli media had reported that Netanyahu was scheduled to visit New Delhi in December for his first official visit to India since 2018, but the visit has been postponed due to security concerns following the terrorist attack near Delhi’s Red Fort earlier this month.

Sources having knowledge of the entire matter told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ here that these reports are based only on ‘speculation’ and are ‘misleading’. He said efforts are being made to finalize mutually convenient dates for Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit.

According to reports, Benjamin Netanyahu was planning to visit India at the end of the year. However, this is the third time this year that he has canceled his tour of India. He last came to India in 2018. During this period, he stayed in India for six days from January 14 to January 19 and this was his second visit to India.
