Vlogger Anant Mittal, popularly known as On Road Indian, was detained in China for his comments about Arunachal Pradesh. By sharing a video in his Instagram post, he has mentioned his horrific experience in China. This incident happened on November 16, when Chinese authorities detained him for about 15 hours and then released him.
Anant Mittal says that he has no political connection with anyone nor does he have any evil intentions. He said that I have no hatred for anyone. I just love everyone and present this world to you from my perspective. I have no connection with any political agenda.
Mittal is deeply connected with North East
Anant told that he has studied in North-East for 3 years. They are deeply connected to this area. He became emotional after hearing the news of an Arunachal Pradesh citizen being detained in China. He had made a video on this, due to which this incident happened to him. He confirmed that he has returned to India safely and has uploaded the entire story on YouTube.
He further said that the video was not made under pressure and he was simply expressing his feelings. He said that if I have hurt anyone, please forgive me. I am very small in front of these big powers. In the video, Mittal has completely described his horrific experience in China.
Officials stopped as soon as they entered China
Anant Mittal told that as soon as he entered China, he was stopped by the officials of the Immigration Department. A sticker was placed on his passport, causing an alert in their system. An officer detained him and kept him with several other foreign nationals. When no one talked to him for 2 hours, he realized the seriousness of the situation.
Phone and camera confiscated
He further said that Chinese officials later took him to another room and confiscated his phone and camera so that he could not record anything. They had forgotten to check his iPad, with the help of which they recorded the video. In which he is seen saying that hours have passed, but no explanation was given. He told the officers that he was feeling thirsty and scared of not knowing what would happen next.
Vlogger kept asking for food again and again, got nothing
The vlogger was given water once after several hours. He repeatedly asked for food, but did not get anything. Similarly 12-13 hours passed. In the video, he supported a citizen of Arunachal Pradesh detained in China. He realized that perhaps this is why he has to suffer all this. The vlogger feared that he might never be able to return to India. The vlogger said that he hopes that the Indian and Chinese embassies will understand his fears. He held himself responsible for posting the video of Arunachal. He said that we are very small people, we have no status.
