Amidst the ongoing tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan, ceasefire has been announced in the Doha meeting. Meanwhile, Taliban’s Deputy Home Minister Mawlawi Muhammad Nabi Omari has given a strict warning to Pakistan, saying that if Afghanistan declares the Pakistan Army as an aggressor, they will drive them to the Indian border.
According to CNN-News18, Omari has given a direct warning to the Pakistani Army, saying that once the Afghan tribes and nations declare you an invader by religious order, then I swear by Allah that you will not get security even till the Indian border.
Pakistan works as per the wishes of others: Omari
Mawlavi Muhammad Nabi Omari sharply criticized the civilians and military leadership of Islamabad. He further said that the Pakistani military regime does everything according to the wishes of others and you must have recently seen the video of Shehbaz Sharif talking to Trump in a flattering tone.
Omari also hinted at possible territorial claims, saying the current situation indicates that areas across the Durand Line, once lost to Afghanistan, may eventually return to Afghan territory.
Pakistan had broken ceasefire: Taliban leader
This warning from the Taliban leader comes amid increasing tension on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, where cross-border clashes have occurred recently. Kabul has accused Islamabad of violating a 48-hour ceasefire that temporarily halted the nearly week-long fighting that has left dozens of soldiers and civilians dead on both sides.
Agreement reached between the two countries in Doha
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry organized a meeting in Doha regarding both the countries, in which Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to an immediate ceasefire. After this the next meeting will be held in Istanbul.
