Russian President Vladimir Putin told in a meeting with senior officials in Kremlin that meeting Donald Trump in Alaska was very timeless and useful. Putin said that Russia got an opportunity to keep its position in detail. He also reiterated that Russia’s goal is to solve the struggle in a peaceful manner. Honoring the attitude of the US administration, Putin said that the US also wants the war to end soon.
The meeting was the first high-level summit of the US-Russia after the February 2022 invasion. The meeting lasted for about three hours. However, the conversation ended without any ceasefire. After the meeting, Trump said that he wanted a fast and full peace agreement. Trump urged Ukraine to accept that Russia is a great power and not (Ukraine).
Ceasefire pressure increased on Jailonsky
Soon after the Alaska meeting, Ukraine’s President Volodimir Jailonsky is going on a visit to Washington. The journey will be his first American visit after February. America is now under pressure from America to agree on the solution to end the struggle soon. According to sources, Trump told Jailonsci that Putin has proposed that Russia would stop the fight in other areas if Ukraine leaves Donettsk and Lugansk, but Jailonski rejected the proposal and said that no internationally recognized area of Ukraine can be left.
What does Ukraine say on war with Russia?
Since 2022, millions of Ukraine have died in the ongoing war against Russia. Millions of people have been killed. Crores of people have been displaced. The major part of Ukraine has been badly destroyed.
