Weather Forecast: It will rain in 10 hours in 8 states including UP-Bihar, how will be the weather of Delhi, know the warning

People are already troubled by the harsh cold across the country and now the continuous rains have made the situation more difficult. IMD has issued an alert of moderate to heavy rain in 8 states for the next 10 hours. During this period, there is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, due to which life can be badly affected.

According to meteorologists, due to rain the temperature will drop and the cold will increase further. This can have a direct impact on the health of the elderly, children and already sick people. Cold wave conditions are expected to worsen in many areas of North India, while heavy snowfall in the hilly states has increased the danger to tourists.

Rain warning in these 8 states

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of moderate to heavy rain in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. Strong winds along with thunderstorms may occur in these states. In Uttarakhand on January 28, the wind speed can reach 60 kilometers per hour in some areas. There is a possibility of rain along with lightning and winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in Bihar on January 28. There may be hailstorm at isolated places in Sikkim. There are chances of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The Meteorological Department has also said that a new western disturbance can affect North-West India from the night of 30 January 2026. Due to its effect, there may be heavy rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas and surrounding plains on 1 and 2 February, due to which the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Cold wave alert in 17 districts of North India

IMD has issued a cold wave warning in 17 districts of North India on January 28. The severity of cold will increase in Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Amroha, Azamgarh, Ballia, Basti, Badaun, Kanpur, Lalitpur and Mahoba of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of strong and cold winds in the morning in Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Yamunanagar and Panipat of Delhi and Haryana. Cold wave will increase the problems of people in Amritsar, Bathinda, Firozpur, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Moga and Rupnagar of Punjab.

Weather of Delhi, UP and Bihar

There is no rain alert in Delhi on January 28, but it will remain cold. The maximum temperature in the capital is likely to be around 18 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 8 degrees Celsius. It is noteworthy that after the rain on January 23, the temperature in Delhi had fallen by 4 degrees. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in both eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh. There may be rain with strong winds in many districts including Lucknow, Kanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Gonda, Basti, Barabanki, Gorakhpur and Deoria. The temperature in Lucknow can remain between 18 to 12 degrees Celsius.

The effect of rain will also be seen in Bihar on January 28. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and lightning in East and West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Sitamarhi during the next 15 hours. The maximum temperature in Patna can be 22 and the minimum temperature can be 13 degree Celsius.

Condition of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir

There is an alert of heavy rain and strong winds in Uttarakhand on January 28. Winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar. The temperature in Mussoorie can be around 16 to 8 degrees Celsius and in Dehradun around 18 to 8 degrees Celsius. There is no rain alert in Himachal Pradesh, but cold wave will continue. There will be effect of cold in Kangra, Mandi, Solan, Hamirpur and Sirmaur. The temperature in Manali has reached minus 1 to minus 10 degrees Celsius and there is continuous snowfall in many areas. There is no rain alert in Jammu and Kashmir on January 28, but cold winds will blow in the morning. The maximum temperature in Srinagar is likely to be 3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be minus 6 degrees Celsius.

Weather hits Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

There will be no rain in Rajasthan, but dense fog has increased the problems of the people. Visibility may remain very low in the morning in Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli and Dholpur. The temperature in Jaipur is likely to be between 19 to 9 degrees Celsius. An alert of moderate to heavy rain has been issued in Madhya Pradesh on January 28. There may be rain with strong winds in Chhatarpur, Shivpuri, Satna, Panna, Rewa and Tikamgarh. The maximum temperature in Bhopal is expected to be 22 and the minimum temperature will be 11 degrees Celsius.
