People in the country are immersed in the celebration of Republic Day (26 January) today. This time too, the country’s military power and modern weapons will be displayed grandly in the Republic Day parade. The weather pattern seems to have changed since last few days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of torrential rain for 11 states, while there is a possibility of cold wave in many districts.
Where will it rain?
Due to Western Disturbance, there may be snowfall in Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Due to the cold winds coming from the mountains, freezing and thawing can be seen in the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Kerala. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning and strong winds with speed of 40-50 km per hour in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on January 27.
Delhi weather
On January 26, the morning started with severe cold and fog in the capital Delhi, but as the day progresses, there is a possibility of sunshine. The minimum temperature this morning is expected to be between 6 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius. There will be ‘light to moderate’ fog in the morning, which may reduce visibility.
Changing weather in UP
There is a continuous change in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. This Monday morning, the effect of fog was seen in many parts of the state, but now the fog seems to be clearing at many places. Movement of clouds is visible in the sky of eastern and western parts of the state. The weather is expected to be clear in the capital Lucknow on the occasion of Republic Day. However, due to the effect of strong winds, the temperature is falling.
Meteorological Department issued yellow alert
A fall in day and night mercury was recorded in most parts of the state including the capital Lucknow on Sunday. The day temperature was recorded at 22.7 degrees Celsius while the night temperature was 11 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists have issued a yellow alert for gusty winds at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour in the city on January 27.
Scientists of Lucknow Meteorological Center say that the effect of the last active western disturbance has ended. Along with this, due to clear weather and cold winds coming from the hilly areas, the minimum and maximum temperatures of the state have declined. Changes in the weather are expected to continue even today. There is a possibility of dense fog at isolated places in Terai districts today and tomorrow morning of 27th January.
Bihar weather
Mixed weather is expected in Bihar in the last week of January. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain mainly dry in most parts of the state between January 26 and January 31. The weather may change in some districts of North Bihar.
