According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature can go up to 6 degrees today on Saturday. There is a possibility of cold wave in the morning and evening.

The mercury has fallen further in UP after the sudden change in weather on Friday. Due to dense fog in the morning, visibility was recorded at 150 meters in many areas. The minimum temperature in Lucknow remained below 6 degrees Celsius for the second consecutive day. Dense fog is being seen on Saturday also.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Lucknow and surrounding areas for the next three days. However, fluctuations in maximum and minimum temperatures will continue during this period. Senior meteorologist Atul Singh said that there will be dense fog from Saturday to Monday. Melting will continue in the morning and evening. In such a situation, there is no possibility of relief from cold till next week.
Due to increased melting on Friday, people were seen warming themselves by lighting bonfires. Although the fog started clearing around 11 o’clock and weak sunlight emerged, the melting still continued. There is a possibility of this type of weather continuing even today.

The Meteorological Department said that there will be dense fog in many districts including the capital Patna, West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhubani, Saharsa, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur and visibility will also reduce.

Due to the active Western Disturbance, IMD has issued an alert of snowfall in high altitude areas for the next 3 days. However, due to cold wave and fog, the harsh winter will continue in many districts of Himachal Pradesh including Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi, Bilaspur and Una for the next 5 days.
