Now the weather patterns have changed across the country. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), it is now getting cold in the states from North India to South. Even though the sun is still shining in the afternoon, it is becoming cold in the morning and the nights are now becoming cold. The trend of falling temperature continues. In the plains of the southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, cold has spread such terror that life has come to a standstill.
Due to increasing cold and strong winds, the temperature is continuously falling in both the Telugu states, due to which normal life has been badly affected. In these states, people now have to resort to warm clothes even during the day, while the scene at night has become even more gruesome. It is quite cold in mid-November itself.
Orange alert issued in Telangana
The situation is becoming more serious in Telangana. The mercury has reached single digit figures in many districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next three days in 10 districts of the state. Asifabad, Sangareddy, Adilabad, Vikarabad, Medak, Nirmal, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mancherial and Warangal districts recorded temperatures between 6 to 10 degrees Celsius.
Increasing cases of feeling cold and difficulty in breathing
This severe cold is affecting the children, the poor, the destitute and the laborers working in the open the most. The cases of cold, cough and difficulty in breathing are continuously increasing in many districts of the state. Young children and the elderly are especially at risk. The administration has appealed to the people not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to make all possible arrangements to keep themselves warm.
