With the beginning of November in Delhi, the weather has taken a turn. The cold of morning and evening has now started to be felt and a slight chill has returned in the air. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be a further decline in the minimum temperature in the coming few days.
At the same time, there will be a slight increase in wind speed, due to which the nights will become colder. Today (10 November) the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to reach 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to reach 11 degrees Celsius.
Sunny during the day, cold at night
The weather department says that the sky will remain clear and sunny for the next 5 days. On Sunday (November 9), the minimum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 16.3 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 28.4 degrees Celsius.
In the coming days i.e. between 11th to 15th November, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 18 to 18.9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 28 to 29 degrees Celsius. However, due to cold winds blowing at night, people will feel mild cold.
Meteorologists say that the wind speed will be 10 to 12 kilometers per hour in the morning and evening, due to which the minimum temperature may continue to fall continuously.
Cold winds increased the chill
Winds blowing at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour in the evening and night in Delhi are increasing the effect of cold. In many areas the night temperature has dropped to 9 to 11 degrees Celsius. This situation shows that now winter has officially arrived in Delhi.
The Meteorological Department has clearly said that the night temperature may fall to 13 to 14 degrees in the coming days. This means that while going out in the morning or late in the evening, there will be a need for a light jacket or sweater.
Pollution worsens the condition of the air
Along with the cold weather, the poison of pollution in the air of Delhi has also increased. According to the latest data from the Pollution Control Department, the average air quality index (AQI) of Delhi-NCR has been recorded at 361, which falls in the “very poor category”. Today (November 10) morning this level reached 370, which clearly shows that relief in the air of the capital is still far away.
The Meteorological Department has clearly said that Delhiites will not get the relief of clean air right now. There is no possibility of much change in wind direction and speed in the coming few days, hence AQI will remain in the “very poor” to “poor” category.
