The Meteorological Department has warned that there will be dense fog in many parts of North India on Monday morning (8 December 2025), due to which visibility will be low. Cities like Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Delhi, Amritsar, Agra, Tundla, Chandigarh, Nainital and Shimla are in the grip of deep fog.

The weather is different in South India. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many districts of Tamil Nadu till December 12. The effect of low pressure is visible in the marine areas, due to which the waves in the Gulf of Mannar and Kumari Sagar may become stronger. For this reason, fishermen have been advised not to enter the sea till December 10.

Severe cold in Delhi, temperature may drop to 6°C in the morning
The effect of cold is increasing rapidly in the national capital. The Meteorological Department says that due to very slow wind speed the fog will become more dense. Cold winds will blow during the day too, while morning humidity can reach 100 percent. The minimum temperature is expected to fall to around 6 degrees.

Fog will prevail in Uttar Pradesh for three days
In most of the cities of UP, the morning time will be very hazy between 10th and 12th December. Many districts including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Etawah, Agra, Tundla and Kanpur will be affected by low visibility. People have been advised to avoid morning travel.

Dense fog and wind speed also increase in many districts of Bihar
The effect of dense fog will be visible in Patna, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Purnia, Bhojpur, Gaya and Araria. Wind speed can reach 15 to 20 kilometers per hour, which will further increase the effect of cold.

Cold wave hits Jharkhand, yellow alert on 11 districts
Ranchi Meteorological Center has issued a warning saying that the effect of cold wave will be felt in Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Khunti, Lohardaga, Simdega, Gumla, Bokaro and Ramgarh of the state. The morning and night temperatures may go down continuously.

Clouds return in Rajasthan, slight increase in temperature
A new western disturbance has become active in Rajasthan, due to which there will be light clouds in many areas. An increase of a few degrees may be seen in the minimum temperature, but the relief will not last long. The weather is expected to remain dry throughout the week.

Cold at its peak in Madhya Pradesh, temperature near 4°C at many places
Icy winds have made the cold more severe in many districts of MP. The temperature in Umaria and Shahdol has been recorded around 4 degrees. The maximum temperature may also fall in the coming days, due to which people will feel chill throughout the day.

Temperature below zero in Kashmir, snowfall in high altitude areas
Winter is continuously increasing in Kashmir valley. The temperature in Pahalgam has reached minus 4.3 degrees. There is a possibility of snowfall in many hilly areas in the next 24 hours. The night temperature remains below zero at most places.

Cold increases in West Bengal too, coldest day of the season in Kolkata
The weather is dry in West Bengal, but the cold is increasing. The temperature is continuously falling in Kolkata and this may prove to be the coldest day of the season. The weather will remain clear and cold next week also.
