Vegovi recently launched drug
Vegovi drug manufactured by Danish company Novo Nordisk was also recently launched in India. This medicine is given in the form of injection to reduce weight in severe cases of obesity. This medicine activates the appetite suppressing hormone GLP, due to which the person eats less and gradually starts losing weight. This medicine can also have many side effects, which include vomiting, nausea, stomach pain and gas problems.
Balloon Capsule Treatment
Now people are also turning to balloon capsule treatment for weight loss. It is a capsule which swells like a balloon after entering the stomach and reduces the space in the stomach. Due to this the person eats less food and starts losing weight. It is used through endoscopy or swallow pill method. However, this method is expensive, its one-time treatment costs between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. At the same time, this treatment is not for those people who have problems with heartburn or reflexes.
