Suvendu adhikari on murshidabad vioolence: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari claimed on Sunday (April 13, 2025) that more than 400 Hindus have been forced to leave their homes from Dhulian in Murshidabad district of West Bengal after the violence over Waqf Act. The death of 3 people has also been claimed in this incident.
The Suvendu Officer accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of appeasement politics. He says that Mamata Banerjee’s party has promoted radical elements. Posting on the social media platform X, he said, “Dhulian, more than 400 Hindus of Dhulian, Murshidabad were forced to flee the river and take refuge in the Lalpur High School, Devnapur-Sowishbnagar, Malda,” said, “Dhulian, Murshidabad’s fear of religiously inspired fundamentalists. In this post, he has also shared pictures and videos of some people.
What did people claim in pictures and videos?
One of the people whose BJP leader shared photos and videos claimed that his house was burnt and police officials did nothing for help, but ran away from the spot. He urged the Border Security Force (BSF) as well as the district and state police to ensure safe return of people.
Suvendu official said, “I urge the central paramilitary forces, state police and district administration posted in the district to ensure safe return of these displaced Hindus and protect their lives from this jihadi terror. Bengal is burning. The social fabric is broken. Just, it is too much.”
Police bid- the situation is now under control
The West Bengal Police said that three people were allegedly killed after the violence against the Waqf (Amendment) Act in Murshidabad on Friday night. Many vehicles were also set on fire and if the police believe, then the situation is now under control.
