West Bengal SSC Teachers Appoinment Supernumerary Posts Supreme Court Aside High Court Order of CBI Probe in Mamata Bnerjee Government Decision

There will be no CBI inquiry into the case of additional posts for teachers and school staff in West Bengal. The Supreme Court has changed the decision of the High Court. The Bengal government had challenged the High Court’s decision, in which a CBI inquiry was ordered for the 2022 decision of the state government to create additional posts of teachers and school staff. However, the CBI investigation will continue in the about 25,000 teacher recruitment scam case.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna has made it clear that the CBI investigation of the appointments made in 2016 will continue. Last week, the court had heard the petition of the Government of Bengal in the 2016 Teachers Recruitment Scam and canceled the recruitment process. After this decision of the court, the job of about 26 thousand teachers and non-teachers was over. The Supreme Court had given this order keeping the High Court’s decision.

Today, the state government was relieved in the case of extracting additional posts in court 2022. The court described the CBI investigation as unnecessary.
