IPL Final 2025: There is now less than 24 hours left in the final match of IPL 2025. On June 3, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings are coming face to face in the title match. These are 2 such teams who have never won the Indian Premier League title before. Qualifier-2 matches were also played at this ground, in which the match started about 2 hours late due to rain. Now know here that if it rains on the final day, which rules can be implemented.
IPL final rules for rain
Before the playoff stage started, BCCI had made some new rules. An additional 120 minutes of additional time was added to protect the match from cancellation due to rain. Usually the evening match starts at 7:30 pm, but according to the new rules, there will be no cut in overs even if the match starts by 9:30 pm. The Mumbai-Punjab second qualifier match started at 9:45 pm, yet a 20-over match was played.
What will be cut-off time?
Cut-off time is that till what time the match cannot be declared canceled. The cut-off time used to be 10:56 to declare the first match canceled, but after the new rules, if not a single ball is played till 11:56, then the match will be declared canceled. Let us know that to bring the result of the match, it is necessary for both teams to play at least five-five overs.
In such a situation, another question arises that the result of the match will come in view of cut-off time. Once again, the example of the qualifier-2 match was taken, the match started at 9:45 pm and ended at around 1:30 pm.
Reserve Day for Final
The date of June 3 is fixed for the final, but due to rain, the match is not started by 11:56 pm, so June 4 has been kept as Reserve Day for such a situation. This means that if the match is not completed on June 3, then the match will be held on June 4.
