What can the new Aadhaar app do? Now these big tasks will be done sitting at home, know the complete list

New Aadhaar App: Now work related to Aadhaar means no need to go to queues, tokens and centres. By launching the new Aadhaar App, UIDAI has shifted most of the essential services to mobile. This means that the work which used to take half a day earlier, can now be started in a few minutes on the phone. Be it updating mobile number, changing address, verifying identity or securing biometrics, everything will be possible sitting at home. Through this app, the government wants to make Aadhaar not only digital but also user-controlled. For the common man its meaning is simple. Less hustle and bustle, more security and everything in your hands.

Mobile number and address will be updated sitting at home

The biggest advantage of the new Aadhaar app is that now it will not be necessary to go to the Aadhaar center for basic updates. The process of mobile number and address update can be started from the home section of the app itself. The request will be submitted by filling the necessary information and uploading the documents.

Not only this, the option to manage Aadhaar of the entire family has also been given in the Profile section. Aadhaar of up to five members can be added to one account. This means the tension of separate logins for children, parents or elders is over. The work related to Aadhaar of the entire family sitting at home will be managed through a single app.

Biometric and security will be controlled from home itself

The new Aadhaar app does not just provide convenience. Rather, it hands over complete control of safety to the user. Now you can lock your fingerprint, face and iris data from the app itself. With this, no one will be able to use Aadhaar without your approval. If needed, this lock can also be removed temporarily.

Along with this, Aadhaar authentication history will also be visible in the app. That means, complete information about when, where and for what purpose your Aadhaar was used will be available on the phone. With the support of 13 Indian languages, this app is becoming a tool for every user from village to city to do big work sitting at home.

No need to provide number for verification

Now the compulsion to give Aadhaar number to prove identity is also ending. Features like offline verification and selective share have been provided in the new app. This means that you yourself decide whether to show only name, photo, age or address to the other person. It is not necessary to share complete data.

By scanning the QR code found in the app, identity can be confirmed immediately at the hotel, office, SIM or any service center. No photocopy, no printout, no hassle of OTP. Show the phone and the work will be done. This change makes Aadhaar more secure and privacy-friendly.
