Explain that MS Dhoni is known as one of the greatest finishers, leaders and wicketkeepers of the game, along with maintaining patience under pressure and unmatched skills. In such a situation, he has been honored by including the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
The ICC said in a statement, “Dhoni’s figures, who played 17,266 international runs in various formats for India, 829 wickets (from the back of the wicket) and 538 matches, reflect not only excellence but also extraordinary stability and fitness.”
MS Dhoni got India three major ICC titles – 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.
MS Dhoni has several records in ODI inheritance, including the highest stumping (123) in this format, the highest personal score (183) by the wicketkeeper and the most matches for India, but the most memorable moment of his career came in 2011, when he won the World Cup after 28 years of waiting for India.
