Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission Vice Chairman Aparna Yadav got angry on Friday when she went to meet the Vice Chancellor of King George Medical University but no one came to meet her. Aparna Yadav had reached KGMU regarding the matter of Rameez and conversion.
After this, in a press conference, Aparna said that what has KGMU understood about the Women’s Commission? I had come to get some information but the Vice Chancellor did not come to meet me. He said that he had spoken to the victim and she told that even after informing the HOD of KGMU, no hearing was held.
Yadav claimed that the victim was asked by the senior doctor of KGMU that why did you go to the Women’s Commission? He alleged that special people were doing special work to save that person.
Yadav also raised questions on the report issued by the Vishakha Committee. He said that people who have given statements are being pressurized to change their statements. Aparna claimed that the information given to the Vishakha Committee was distorted in her own way. He asked whether the Women’s Commission is not a constitutional institution?
