After a week, Imran Khan’s sisters again sat on a dharna along with thousands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, to meet their brother. Many party leaders were also seen present with him in this protest that started late at night. This time the sisters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and the leaders of PTI are in a mood to fight. He has given a direct ultimatum to the Shahbaz government that if he is not allowed to meet Imran Khan in jail, then this protest will continue. During the dharna, PTI leaders kept raising slogans of independence.
According to Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi, if the Pakistani government had allowed her to meet Imran Khan even for 5 minutes, she would have left comfortably, but she does not know in what condition Imran Khan has been kept and why she is not being allowed to meet him.
What has Shahbaz government been hiding for the last 4 weeks?
Despite the court order, the Shahbaz Sharif government of Pakistan and the Maryam Nawaz government of Pakistani Punjab are not allowing Imran Khan’s sisters to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is lodged in Adiala jail for the last 4 weeks. Last week also, when Imran Khan’s sisters were not allowed to meet him, they sat on a dharna, however, later in the night, Pakistani police beat up Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Khanum Niazi and arrested her.
On Tuesday night, once again Imran Khan’s sisters sat on strike outside the jail. Last time there were around 100 workers with them, this time many leaders are also present at the protest and thousands of workers are protesting after the jail.
