It has been more than 24 hours since the incident of kidnapping of a Dalit girl after the murder of her mother in Meerut, but the police are still empty handed in this matter. The police have not been able to recover the kidnapped girl nor have they been able to arrest the accused. Meanwhile, DM and SSP met the victim’s family and assured of strict action.
On Friday, DM and SSP Vipin Tada met the victim’s family and talked to the family for about an hour. The police administration assured the family that ten teams have been formed to investigate the case. Continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Soon the accused will be in the custody of the police.
Family adamant on not performing last rites
SSP Dr. Vipin Tada said that his daughter will be recovered safely. The family members are adamant that they will not perform the last rites of their mother until their daughter returns home safely and the accused are arrested.
Neighbors told what happened?
There is anger among the local people regarding this incident. While talking to ABP News, neighbors told that on Thursday morning at 8 o’clock she went out with her mother to bring food for her father and as soon as she reached outside the village, Paras Som started abusing her from behind.
For the first time, the mother and daughter ignored his words and moved ahead, but when he abused her again, the mother stopped, after which the accused started molesting her daughter. When the mother protested, the accused attacked her with an ax and forcibly took away the daughter.
Family members and neighbors say that there were two more girls from the village with him who came to the village and informed about this incident. Neighbors said that this had never happened before nor was there any old rivalry. This happened suddenly and if action is not taken against them then they can do it again.
Angst among local people regarding the incident
Family members and neighbors say that they will not cremate the body until their daughter returns home and the killers are caught. The police had given 24 hours time to bring the daughter back but 24 hours passed and neither the daughter came back nor the killers were caught.
While talking to ABP News, the family members took the names of Paras Som and Toofan and said that there were more people with them. Family members say that the main accused is Paras Som and he has committed this crime.
