The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on the coast of Odisha successfully tested the Integrated Air Defense Weapon System (IADWS). The system includes quick reaction missiles as well as high-power laser-based energy weapons (Dew). It is being called the modern Sudarshan Chakra. China is also praising this security shield of India.

Wang Yanan, Editor of Aerospace Knowledge, Beijing, told Chinese government newspaper Global Times that India’s IADWS is really a major achievement. Laser weapons are an important part of future battles and India has now come in the queue of selected countries which have this technology.

Pakistan has been trying to pressurize India with drones and rockets from China for a long time. Chinese weapons were also used during Operation Sindoor, but the Indian Army thwarted it. Now when India has a laser defense system, Pakistan’s drone and cruise missiles will be ineffective. This is the reason why Chinese experts also had to believe that it is a game Changer for India.

China is already working on the LW-30 laser system, claiming that it may drop the drone, but India’s IADWS has both missiles and laser, which makes it more effective. If this system is deployed on LAC (Line of Actual Control), then efforts to infiltrate China will be very difficult.
