
The most important thing is that there are opportunities for everyone from 10th pass to engineering graduate. Railways not only provides a stable career but is also the first choice of youth due to government facilities and security.

There are recruitment on various Group A, B, C and D posts in Railways. If we talk about educational qualification, then for Group D posts like Trackman, Gangman or Helper, the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. At the same time, ITI certificate can also be asked for some posts.

12th or graduation pass candidates can apply for posts like Clerk, Station Master or Assistant. Diploma or BE/B.Tech is necessary for technical posts. Recruitment for Group A and B i.e. officer level posts is done through UPSC or Railway Board examination.

Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 18 years and maximum 33 years. However, SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation and OBC candidates are given 3 years relaxation. Women and disabled people also get additional relief on some posts.

The recruitment process of Railways is done through RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) and RRC (Railway Recruitment Cell). The selection process is completed in four stages. First of all, there is online examination i.e. CBT, in which questions are asked from Mathematics, General Knowledge, Reasoning and English. After this there is Physical Efficiency Test (PET), in which race and physical ability is tested. Document verification and medical test of those who pass the exam are done.

The most wonderful aspect of a railway job is its salary and facilities. Group D employees get a salary of around Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000, while clerk or assistant posts get a salary of Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000. For posts like Station Master or Junior Engineer, salary ranges from Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000. Along with this, railway employees get many facilities like free travel pass, medical facility, government accommodation, pension and bonus.
