BCCI Net Worth: Political tension between India and Bangladesh has increased recently. The cricket boards of both the countries are face to face and till now it has not been decided whether Bangladesh will go to India to play T20 World Cup 2026 or not. There is no doubt that it can be costly for Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to mess with BCCI. The biggest reason for this will be the influence of BCCI in world cricket. Well, this dispute has not been resolved yet, before that know what is the difference in the net worth of the cricket boards of India and Bangladesh.
BCCI’s net worth
BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world. According to media reports, the net worth of the Board of Control for Cricket in India is approximately Rs 18,700 crore. A few weeks ago, in the report of Cricbuzz, it was said that BCCI is expected to earn a total of Rs 8,963 crore in the 2025-26 financial year.
BCCI gets revenue share from ICC. Apart from this, Indian Board also earns huge income from broadcasting rights. BCCI has given the media rights to Viacom 18 Media Private Limited till 2023-28. This deal was done for Rs 5,963 crore. Apart from this, the Indian Board also earns a good amount from sponsorship and IPL.
BCB is very poor in front of BCCI
On the other hand, according to media reports, the net worth of Bangladesh Cricket Board has been estimated at Rs 458 crore. If compared with BCCI, the Indian Cricket Board is about 41 times richer than Bangladesh. On one hand, BCCI gets more than 38 percent of ICC’s earnings, while Bangladesh Board gets about 4.4 percent.
Bangladesh Premier League is also a major source of income for BCB. Like the cricket boards of other countries, BCB also earns a good amount of money from broadcasting and sponsorship deals. Merchandise sales also play a small role in total earnings. According to reports, Bangladesh Cricket Board had earned around Rs 350-400 crore last financial year, which is much less than BCCI.
