T20I Record: T20 cricket is considered a game of fast runs and fours and sixes, but sometimes this format proves to be a nightmare for the teams. While some teams score 250 plus, there are some teams which get bundled out on single digit scores even before completing 20 overs. In recent years, teams from smaller countries are getting opportunities on the international stage, but their lack of experience sometimes outweighs them. Let’s take a look at the lowest team score in the history of T20 International cricket.
Ivory Coast – bundled out for just 7 runs (2024)
The most shameful record in T20 history is in the name of Ivory Coast. In the match played in Abuja (Nigeria) on 24 November 2024, the Ivory Coast team was all out for just 7 runs. The team scored this score in 7.3 overs and lost the match by a huge margin. This is the lowest team score in T20I so far.
Mongolia – 10 out (2024)
The Mongolian team had scored 10 runs while playing against Singapore at Bangi Ground in September 2024. This score was made in 10 overs, meaning the run rate was only 1.00. Singapore had achieved this target in just a few balls. This match became an example of one-sided matches in T20 cricket.
Isle of Man – 10 runs (2023)
The Spain vs Isle of Man match on 26 February 2023 became a topic of discussion in cricket history. Isle of Man team was reduced to just 10 runs in 8.4 overs. In reply, Spain won in just 2 overs without losing any wicket. This match was considered to be the shortest and one-sided match in T20I history till that time.
Mongolia – Failed once again, just 12 runs (2024)
On 8 May 2024, Mongolia again gave a very poor performance against Japan. The Mongolian batsman could score only 12 runs in this match. No batsman of the team could reach double figures.
Mongolia – in the shameful list for the third time after scoring 17 runs (2024)
Mongolia’s team once again performed shamefully and scored only 17 runs against Hong Kong on 31 August 2024. This was the third time that Mongolia recorded a very low score in the year 2024.
