Tantra used to run with foreign leaders
261 SIMs were being used in the four SIM box recovered in Narayanpur in Bhojpur district of Bihar, in the investigation, it was found that these SIM cards were procured from Malda in West Bengal. EOU investigation revealed that through this SIM box, international calls were converted into local calls, so that people were easily caught in the net of cyber thugs. The gang had ordered 8 SIM box devices from China and Vietnam, with the help of which 10,000 to 12,000 fake calls were made daily. The gang was in touch with foreign cyber criminals through social media and telegram groups. Together with these foreign leaders, he used to run the entire mechanism of cyber Thaki. Thugs looted people in ways like fake government schemes, lottery or bank fraud.
How to avoid cyber fraud
Do not rely on calls coming from unknown numbers, especially if a government plan or lottery is lured. Never share your bank account or OTP information. If you get such calls, then immediately file a complaint on the nearest police station or cyber crime portal.
