In an interview given to Shubhankar Mishra, Shweta has revealed about the death of her brother Sushant. He said on this- ‘How can suicide happen? The distance between the fan and the bed was not enough for a person to hang his leg or hang there. There was no distance. If you want to commit suicide, you will use a stool. You will climb on the stool, tie it with any thing or scarf. There was nothing like a stool there.

Shweta further said- ‘The first thing I asked didi was this. It came to my mind that sister, where is the stool? Which stool did she use to tie the dupatta? Even if you see the mark on it, it is not the mark of the dupatta at all. Like, the thing he used is not a cloth mark at all, it is a chain type mark.
