Musk has chosen Vaibhav Taneja as the party’s Custodian of Records and Treasurer. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Vaibhav earned $ 139 million (about Rs 1,157 crore) in 2024. Vaibhav has long work experience
Vaibhav of Indian origin worked in Solar City for a year before joining Tesla in 2017. It is a company associated with solar energy, which was founded by Musk. Vaibhav also worked in Pricewaterhouse Couple (PWC) in India and America till 17 years (1999 to 2016).
In 2017, he joined Tesla as Assistant Corporate Controller. In 2018, he was elected corporate controller of the company. In 2019, he was promoted to the post of Chief Accounting Officer. Two years later, in 2021, Vaibhav Tesla’s Indian subsidiary company Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited was appointed. Then in August 2023, he was appointed as Tesla’s Chief Financial Officer.
