What is CM Yuva Yojana?
Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign i.e. CM Yuva Yojana is a special scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, whose objective is to make the youth stand on their own feet. Under this, the government provides interest-free loans and necessary training facilities to the youth to start their own business. Under the scheme, youth can start a business with a project cost of up to Rs 5 lakh. CM Yuva Yojana helps youth between 21 to 40 years of age to start business. Every year, under this scheme, a target has been set to provide self-employment to one lakh youth and to provide employment to 10 lakh in 10 years. Apart from this, under this scheme, interest free loan is given to start one’s own business. The terms of loan repayment are also easy and the government gives 10 percent of the project cost as margin money subsidy.
How much money do you get?
CM Yuva Yojana is implemented in two phases. In the first phase, projects worth Rs 5 lakh are approved, in which interest free and guarantee free loan up to Rs 4.5 lakh is given. In this, there is an exemption to repay the loan for 6 months. After repaying the loan of the first phase, project cost up to Rs 10 lakh can be approved in the second phase. In this, a loan of double the first phase loan or up to Rs 7.5 lakh is available and interest subsidy of up to 50 percent is given.
Who can apply for this scheme?
Permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh, whose age is between 21 to 40 years, can apply for this scheme. The applicant must be at least 8th pass and must have taken training from any government training scheme or have a skill certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized institute. Apart from this, in the scheme, the beneficiary has to deposit some amount himself according to the category, in which general category candidates have to deposit 15 percent, OBC 12.5 percent, ST, SC, Divyangjan and Backward Classes 10 percent and in some identified districts, all categories have to deposit 10 percent themselves.
How can one apply for the scheme?
The application for CM Yuva Yojana is completely online. For this one has to register by visiting the MSME portal. The application form has to be filled after OTP verification from Aadhaar and mobile number. Personal details, business project information and bank information have to be given in the form. Along with this, necessary documents also have to be uploaded.
