According to Hindu religious texts, Lord Rama was born in Tretayuga in Ayodhya city of Uttar Pradesh. Lord Rama’s visit to Lanka is mentioned in religious texts. But did Lord Rama ever go to Pakistan too. Let’s know.

First of all, let us know that in the Ramayana period, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc. used to be different countries. Rather, this entire region was known as ‘Bharatvarsha’ or ‘Jambudweep’.

The Ram Katha mainly focuses Uttar Pradesh region at Ayodhya, Nepal in Janakpuri, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra region Dandakaranya, Karnataka in Kishkindha, and Sri Lanka in places like Lanka.

According to some beliefs, Lord Rama traveled through different forests during exile, some of which have spread to the areas adjacent to today’s Pakistan. But it is not clearly mentioned in the scriptures.

Lord Rama was born in ‘Ayodhya’, Sita’s birth Janakpuri (Nepal), Vanwas Start Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Sita Haran in Panchavati (Nashik), Ram-Hanuman’s meeting Kishkindha (Karnataka), Ram-Ravana war Lanka (Sri Lanka). These major sites are also mentioned in the verses of Valmiki Ramayana, there is no mention of Pakistan in it.

In such a situation, as evidence, it cannot be said that Lord Rama went to Pakistan. But there are definitely ancient temples of Lord Rama in Pakistan. It is said that this temple went to Pakistan region at the time of Indo-Pak partition.
