New revelation in research?
According to a study in the European Stroke Organization Conference 2025, young women who use the combind oral contraceptives (COC) ie contraceptive pills, may increase the risk of ‘cryptogenic ischaemic stroke’.

What is cryptogenic ischemic stroke?
This is a stroke that does not reveal any clear reason, but about 40% of the ischemic strokes in the youth fall in this category.
Which age women are in danger?
For your information, let us know, according to this research, 268 women aged 18 to 49 were involved. Those who had had a cryptogenic ischemic stroke. Out of these, 66 patients and women of 38 control groups were taking Combined Oral Contrastampies. When researchers detected other diseases like age, high blood pressure, smoking, migraine and obesity, it was found that the risk of stroke was three times higher in women taking Combined oral contraceptives.
What should women do?
If the doctor who is doing a riches, women who are already suffering from high blood pressure, migraine or any kind of disease, must consult a doctor before taking birth control pills. Also, there is a need for study on the front and large scale, so that it can be known which pill is more secure.
Pregnancy pills are a great convenience for women, but risks should not be ignored when using them. This research is an important step in this direction and every woman should be cautious about her health.
