Why is this decision of the company special?
This is the first time in the 92 -year history of the company when a woman will become a managing director and CEO. Priya is currently the president of beauty and wellbing at Hul’s parent company Unilever. His journey started in Hul in 1995. Since then, she has played the role of leadership in many different segments like the company’s home care, beauty and wellbying and personal care.
From 2014 to 2020, he was appointed executive director of the home care segment in Hul. Then between 2020 and 2022, he worked as an executive director of beauty and personal care in HUL.
Priya has managed 13.2 billion euros business with brands like Dove, Sunsilk, Clear as President in Beauty and Velbing. Priya will be appointed as the company’s MD and CEO for 5 years. His term will end on July 31, 2030.
