Every year at the end of winter, when thousands of flowers bloom together, the Amrit Udyan of Rashtrapati Bhavan starts looking like a dream. This time also its doors have been opened for the common people, but the biggest question is that from what time in the morning is the entry available, till when can we go inside in the evening and when does it close?
Winter Annuals Edition 2026 inaugurated
President Draupadi Murmu has inaugurated the Winter Annuals Edition 2026 of Amrit Udyan located at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 1 February 2026. Earlier it was known as Mughal Garden, but now it is called Amrit Udyan. Since its inauguration, there is special enthusiasm among the people to see it, because this garden is opened to the general public only for a limited time in a year.
How long will it be open for the general public?
Amrit Udyan will be open to the general public from 3 February 2026 to 31 March 2026. This means that people can come here for about two months and enjoy the beauty of flowers and the peaceful atmosphere. This time is especially good for those who want to spend some peaceful moments amidst nature.
What is the time from morning to evening?
The timing of Amrit Udyan has been fixed from 10 am to 6 pm, but the most important thing to keep in mind is that the last entry is given only till 5 pm. If you arrive late, you will not get a chance to go inside. Therefore, it is better to reach before time and roam around the park comfortably.
Is it open on weekends?
Amrit Udyan is open six days a week. It remains closed every Monday because cleaning and maintenance work is done on that day. Apart from this, Amrit Udyan will also remain closed on the day of Holi, i.e. 4th March 2026. It remains open on Saturday and Sunday like normal days, so a plan to visit here can be made on weekends also.
Where will the entry be from?
Entry to Amrit Udyan is only through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Due to security reasons, entry is not allowed from other gates, hence people coming for the first time should take special care of this.
What is special in Amrit Udyan?
This year Amrit Udyan has been made even more attractive. There are many beautiful places for the tourists to visit here like Bal Vatika, Plumeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. People especially like the water stream named Bubbling Brook, which has small waterfalls.

According to media reports, this time more than 145 varieties of roses, about 85 types of other flower plants and colorful tulips have been planted in Amrit Udyan. The fragrance spread all around, flowing water streams and lush green lawns together create such an atmosphere that people describe it as a garden of heaven.
