The first mega auction in the history of the Women’s Premier League will be held in Delhi tomorrow on 27th November. Before the auction, all five teams had retained only 17 players. Therefore, it is going to rain money on the players in the 2026 Mega Auction (WPL Mega Auction 2026). Smriti Mandhana is the most expensive player in WPL history, she was bought by RCB in 2023 for Rs 3.4 crore. This time it will be interesting to see whether the bid on any player goes beyond Rs 3 crore or not.

What time will the mega auction start?
The mega auction of WPL 2026 will be held in Delhi on 27th November. The auction will start at 3:30 pm Indian time.
Live streaming of the mega auction will come on JioHotstar app and website. The auction will be telecast live on Star Sports Network.
Which team has how much money? how many slots vacant
Before the auction, all five teams together had retained a total of 17 players. Now a total of 277 players will be bid in the auction. Of these, 194 will be Indian players, while 83 will be foreign players.
All the teams have a total of Rs 40.6 crore left. Let us remind you that all the teams had a purse of Rs 15 crore, but after the retained players this amount has reduced. UP Warriors had retained only one player, hence Rs 14.5 crores are still left in their purse. Gujarat Giants are left with Rs 9 crore, RCB with Rs 6.15 crore, Mumbai Indians with Rs 5.75 crore and Delhi Capitals with Rs 5.7 crore.
