Whatsapp ban: WhatsApp is a platform that is used well in the country. But the company scans millions of accounts daily to protect the safety and policies of its platforms and ban the accounts that violate the rules. According to the report, more than 99 lakh accounts have been discontinued in India in February 2025, out of which 14 lakh accounts were blocked by the automated system of WhatsApp without any report.

Why does Whatsapp account go banned

For information, let us know that WhatsApp strictly restricts some activity, which can cause an account ban. This includes the use of third-party apps (such as GB Whatsapp or WhatsApp Plus), sending spam or bulk messages, adding to the group without any permission or sending unwanted messages, repeatedly forwarding the same message, spreading wrong information. The company banns the accounts with such activity.

What to do when the account is banned

If your account is banned and you think it has happened by mistake then you can request to review from Whatsapp.

  • For this, you have to open the WhatsApp app where you will see the notification of “account ban”.
  • After this, tap on ‘Request a review’.
  • Now enter your 6-digit verification code.
  • After this, submit the request for review again and clarify your point.
  • If you are not able to request the app, then you can also send email to WhatsApp support on support@whatsapp.com.
  • Write information about mobile number and problem in your email.

Whatsapp will review your appeal and if they get any mistake then your account can be resumed.
